Olive taggiasche

Taggiasche olives were brought in Taggia from the island of Lerins (near Cannes) by the monks. This kind of olive is one of the most rare and reputed in the world.


Taggiasche olives has a small fruit but very tasty and when it's ripe it become dark violet. This olive's taste is fruity and with a characteristics sweet flavour.

 
The ligurian gastronomy use the taggiasche olives in the three variants on meat, on fish but also with pasta, pizza and focaccia.
